Studying English in Baguio from Japan

Before you travel
A Japanese passport gets you into the Philippines without a visa for an initial stay of 30 days, as long as your passport is valid for at least six months and you are carrying a return or onward ticket. If your course runs longer, the stay is extended at the Bureau of Immigration after you arrive and our team guides you through it. Every foreign student on an English course also studies under a Special Study Permit, and because A&J is accredited by the Bureau of Immigration to enroll international students, we process that for you once you are on campus. Immigration rules change by circular, so please confirm the current position with the Bureau of Immigration before booking.
Getting to Baguio
Most students from Japan arrive through Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, which has the widest choice of flights from Japanese cities. Baguio is roughly 240 km north of Manila and the bus takes about five to seven hours, depending on traffic and which terminal you leave from. If you find a connection into Clark International Airport instead, the road from there is much shorter at around three hours, so it is worth comparing both when you book.
