Classes & Attendance
Student Bulletin Board
Various information is posted on the student bulletin board in the lecture hall. It includes timetables, free optional class application forms, holiday information, and other important announcements.
18-Day Guaranteed Classes
Students are expected to receive 20 days of classes within 4 weeks. Take note, however, that there are holidays that are suddenly announced. In case 3 or more holidays are to be observed, the academy will schedule 1 day worth of make-up classes for the affected students. Therefore, each student is guaranteed to have 18 days of classes within 4 weeks.
Make-up classes will not be held for classes canceled due to natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or strong typhoons.
Absence & Tardiness
Students are considered absent after the 15-minute allowance. If no valid reason has been provided, a penalty applies.
Make-up Class
There are two ways of scheduling make-up classes:
Substitution: A substitute teacher will be scheduled upon availability.
Make-up Class: Make-up classes are usually held on a Saturday.
Classes, Textbooks & Teachers
New students are entitled to request a change of textbooks during their first week, provided that a valid reason has been established. Changing textbooks is free as long as the books are still in good condition, no writing, tears, etc.
Teachers assigned are commissioned to teach a student for 4 weeks. If a student wants to extend the term of their teacher, they can submit an extension form no later than 17:30 on Wednesday during their 4th week. Extension forms submitted late will not be accepted. A student can study with one particular teacher for a maximum of 8 weeks only. Late extension applications and non-submission of forms mean an automatic change of teacher. Students who have earned penalties, such as not taking the Post-Test and Bi-monthly Test, will not be granted an extension with any teacher.
Note that if there is only one student in a particular level with group classes, it will automatically be converted into one hour of 1:1 class until more members arise. No personal reason for converting group classes into one-on-one classes will be allowed.
Extension is not applicable for group classes.
Tests & Optional Programs
Bi-Weekly Test & Post Test
The academy conducts two major examinations: the bi-monthly tests and post-tests. Bi-monthly tests are scheduled by the academy twice a month. Post-tests are done at the end of each month to determine students’ level for the next month. Non-compliance with these examinations will be penalized.
Examination Penalties
| Examination | Penalty |
|---|---|
| Bi-monthly Test | −20 points, Essay Homework |
| Post Test | −50 points, no extension of teacher’s term |

However, if you do not attend after applying, you will not be able to participate in the night class for one week. The number of participants is limited depending on the activity.
ECA (Eco Club Activity): Active group class with extracurricular activities such as dance, pop song, and badminton.
EAA (Eco Academic Activity): Group classes with a variety of topics focused on discussion. (If there are fewer than 2 applicants, the class will be cancelled that day.)
Optional Program
Students may participate in the following optional programs. However, each must be completed for at least 4 weeks upon application, and a penalty will be applied for non-compliance.
Daily Writing Homework
EOP (English Only Policy): If you are caught using a language other than English, a penalty will apply and you will also be fined ₱100. Fines are given as rewards to those who report to the office. (Note that EOP is mandatory for students under Eco Sparta within the training period.)
