Studying English in Baguio from Taiwan
What to know before you apply, and where to find everything in your own language.
A&J e-Edu Academy is an English academy in Baguio City, in the mountains of northern Luzon, roughly 1,500 meters above sea level. The altitude is why Baguio is noticeably cooler than the rest of the Philippines. This page is a starting point for planning the trip.

Before you travel
Taiwan passport holders can enter the Philippines without a visa for up to 14 days, under an arrangement currently renewed through 30 June 2027. Please read the next part carefully, because it is different from most other nationalities: that 14-day entry is non-extendible and cannot be converted into another visa category. If you are coming for a course longer than two weeks, which most of ours are, you need to obtain the right visa BEFORE you travel rather than arranging it after you land. Every foreign student on an English course also studies under a Special Study Permit, which A&J processes for you after arrival as a Bureau of Immigration accredited school. Confirm the current rules with MECO or the Bureau of Immigration before you book.
Getting to Baguio
Clark International Airport is the closest international gateway to Baguio and Taipei is one of its established routes, currently served by EVA Air and Starlux. From Clark the bus north to Baguio takes around three hours. Manila is the alternative and offers more flights, but the road north from there is longer, usually five to seven hours depending on traffic.
