1. Dormitory Life


  • A. Dormitory

Students do not have the option to choose their room and roommate. It is to be designated by the academy management. Managers and school-authorized personnel may also enter the facility without prior announcement or permission for facility inspection.

 

※ In the event that the keycard is lost or damaged, a fine of Php1,500 must be paid.

※ In case of lost or damaged keys, the student has an option of whether to pay P500 to the office or to duplicate the original key by himself.

 

  1. Toilet Paper or Any Personal Hygiene Products
    Please be informed that the academy is not responsible in providing any toilet paper and other personal hygiene items. We also ask your cooperation in NOT throwing any tissue, napkins, etc., because of the different sewerage system in the Philippines. Not complying on the said warning, may cause inconvenience due to clogging.

 

 

  1. Cleaning Service

All rooms are cleaned twice a week by a designated room attendant. Bedding is changed once a month. In the event that bedding is damaged or stained, student must pay the corresponding cost.

Students are responsible for keeping their valuables safe, and the academy is not responsible for any loss or damage.

  1. Laundry
    Laundry is prohibited within the dormitory due to the risk of damaging the furniture and fixtures.

    Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, an external laundry company comes to deliver and pick up students’ laundry.

 

Min. 3kg = PHP 150 (Php50 per additional kg)

You must first count your laundry items in advance, fill out the form and attach it on your laundry baskets/ bags and bring your laundry in the lobby by 14:00, after which a staff member will check and sign for it. Delivery of laundry is set on the following laundry day. When receiving laundry, you must check the quantity immediately. In case of lost, we will follow the laundry company's rules.

Additional Fees for:

  1. Camping Facility
    Campsite use is available to all students at designated times and upon prior reservation.

※ Schedule: 09:00 ~ 21:00

※ Overnight: Available only on Fridays and Saturdays (Quiet hours: Noise is prohibited from 21:00 to 06:00 the next day)

Users are requested to return the equipment by 9:00 a.m. the following day.

-You must clean up after using the campsite, and please wash and return used items.

 

  1. Fitness Center

The gym is available to all students at designated times. (Available for ages 14 and older)

Food is not allowed inside the gym.

Gym equipment must be returned to their proper places.

  1. Indoor Gymnasium

The indoor gymnasium is available to all students for rent. Reservation should be made a day before the intended use of the gymnasium or earlier. Please refer to the rental fees below:

Basketball: P800 per hour

*Note that the price indicated above is per court and NOT per head NOR per group.

** The ball and rackets can be borrowed at the office and must be returned in original condition. In case of damage or loss of supplies, the student must pay the corresponding cost for its repair or replacement. Sport equipment can be borrowed from the office during working hours (8:30 ~ 17:30) on weekdays.

 

  1. Golf Drive Range

Students can utilize the golf drive range freely except for 13 years old and below. However, for golf classes anyone can register. Take note however that in case of accidents and third-party damage, the school cannot be held liable. The player is responsible for its own safety and must only practice swinging within designated spot. Proper attire and footwear must be worn. Damage caused by your own recklessness should be settled monetarily.

Borrowing of clubs is possible only during weekdays at working hours.

 

  1. Smoking Area

Smoking is prohibited inside the academy, and against the city ordinance of Baguio City. If you wish to smoke, please smoke outside the academy gate. However, the academy is not responsible for any legal disadvantages resulting from this.

For penalties on smoking, refer to the point system.

 

 

  1. Shops and Cafes

Eco mart and cafe within the academy area open daily at designated times.

Eco Mart: 10:00 ~ 19:00 (except Sunday)

  1. Academy Graduation

Every Friday is the academy completion day, and students must provide the manager with the exact check-out date and time one week in advance. The academy is not responsible for other related legal documents (passports, etc.) or any related issues that arise due to \non-disclosure. Dormitory facility inspections are conducted by managers/receptionist one hour before the actual academy exit on the day of check-out. If there are no problems with the condition of the dormitory or other matters, the deposit will be refunded along with your graduation certificate. Students must check out of their dormitory by 12:00 PM on Saturday. If the student wishes to extend his/her stay due to personal circumstances, he/she must pay an accommodation fee of P1500 to P2000 per day. However, this depends on the room availability.

Note: Keycards must be returned directly to the Manager-in-Charge.

  1. Misconduct
    Students who will challenge fellow students, staff, teachers and the management into a fight whether physically or verbally will be expelled from the academy.

 

  1. Curfew

Curfew is implemented from Sunday to Thursday at 21:30. From 21:30, the managers will be conducting room inspection. All students must be inside their rooms during this time even those who are studying in the self-study area. Students who are in other rooms during this time will be penalized.

※ As a semi-Sparta academy, we don’t impose any curfew on Fridays and Saturdays.

 

  1. Going out after curfew

Going out is strictly prohibited between the curfew time of 21:30 and 06:00 the next day. Violation of this may result in demerit points and penalties. In case of an emergency, please contact the manager.

 

  1. Entering other people’s rooms

Entering rooms between members of the opposite sex is strictly prohibited. Regardless of the motive for entry or length of stay, the student will be expelled without refund and the deposit will be forfeited. Same-genders are also prohibited from entering the room after curfew.

 

  1. Drinking alcohol

Drinking in school premises and dormitory is strictly prohibited. In case bottles or cans, whether empty or filled, will be found, it is treated the same as drinking and will be given the same penalty. (Forfeiture of deposit on the 1st offense and expulsion on the 2nd offense applies.)

 

  1. Travel

If a student plans to travel outside Baguio on weekends or holidays, he/she must complete the travel document (waiver) and submit it to the manager by 13:30 on Thursday. Students must also update their managers frequently on their whereabouts.

 

  1. Cooking

To strengthen the fire prevention measures, cooking is not permitted inside the academy. Gas stoves and electric cooking utensils cannot be used in the room. In case of violation, the deposit will be forfeited and penalties will be applied.  However, simple cooking is possible in units such as premium units and eco-villas.
