2023 Junior Summer Camp

The 2023 A&J E-EDU Junior Summer Camp was launched from July 17. Students aged 12-16 participated in the A&J E-EDU Junior Sumer Camp to improve their English skills and experience overseas life during the summer vacation. This Junior Sumer Camp was held for a total of one month from July 17 to August 6. The camp has four one-on-one classes, two group classes, writing of English diaries, and vocabulary tests. These activities were done on weekdays. Fun activities were conducted on weekends such as going to tourist spots, amusement parks, and going to SM Mall for eating some delicious treats.

Participating in A&J E-EDU Junior Summer Camp gives students the opportunity to learn and practice English during the summer vacation through the activities the school prepares. An example of which is going to various restaurants. Junior students are encouraged to talk to Filipinos in English such as ordering food. Through this, students are able to apply and use the English they learned. On the last weekend, Junior students are taken to San Fernando where students can see and enjoy the beach. Baguio City is located in the mountainous region of the Philippines. So, having to enjoy the beach would be a great experience for junior students. And also, as a lot of people think that summer is never complete without visiting resorts or beaches. And this experience completes the summer vacation of junior students.

It is not without difficulty for junior students to come to other countries at an early age and live for a month while under the programs at the academy. In order for junior students to fully follow the program, a Korean manager resides in the academy and manages junior students. Every day, the manager checks students’ activities, classes and everything that happens to junior students. These things are reported to the parents for them to be updated. In addition, all the foods that junior students eat are provided.  The academy meals are planned to suit the taste of junior students.

Junior students live in a dormitory with foreign students to make sure that they talk in English. Moreover, aside from their classes, junior students are required to write their diaries every day and are also required to take the vocabulary tests. During their classes, teachers teach them their prepared lessons and give them feedback on what parts are lacking and what expressions are incorrect. The curriculum is created to suit students as they are not adults. Then academy understands that junior students need to have such feedbacks fort them to understand and realize where they are lacking. In addition, the free night class taught by Teacher John, who is the academy’s American teacher and is also the vice president residing in the academy, is available for junior students to participate and learn English expressions and practice pronunciation accents that are not experienced in ordinary language schools.  In addition, as the vice president of the academy, he may spend his free time with students, go out to eat with them, go on outdoor activities, and so on. Junior students can continue talking and practicing English with him.

Participating in A&J E-EDU Junior Summer Camp is not just to improve their English skills but to make students face English in a friendlier manner especially when they go back to Korea and continue learning English there.  This is an experience all junior students should do during their vacation. Not only can they have vacation in another country but they can also learn, practice, and hone their skills in using the English language. Joining the A&J E-EDU Junior Summer Camp is definitely a stepping stone in building their future!
