WHAT TO DO OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL?

During students free time, and maybe as a first timer here in the Philippines, they might be thinking of going out and exploring outside the school premises. This article talks about the previous students enrolled in A&J. It is probably more likely as a tip while having your English language study here in Baguio City.

What can they do, is go out and explore where they can buy some basic commodities, toiletries, some snacks and of course food. They can go shopping to malls like SM, Centermall, Abanao Square, or settle to a 5-minute walk distance to CAAA Supermarket near the school. For their other needs and sightseeing, they can roam around Session Road, Legarda Street, and Burnham Park and other tourist spots in the city.

During the weekends, students flock into groups and seek more adventure by visiting nearby towns and provinces such as the town of La Trinidad where we can find wide strawberry farms, flowers, and vegetables. Provinces they can choose to visit such as Pangasinan, La Union, Vigan, and Sagada.

The province of Pangasinan is famous for its numerous amazing beaches, La Union for beach surfing, Vigan for its historical Calle de Crisologo which shows a mark of the Spanish era, and Sagada for its marvelous mountains and freezing weather.

If they opt to stay in town, there are also a list of places to explore such as, Botanical Garden for nature feels, next to it is the Wright Park offering horseback riding, and then Mines View showing a panoramic view of pines and many more.

Choosing Baguio is said to be “Your home away from home” because this is the city, where we can introduce many different cuisines that any foreigner can find in their own country. This is not just about the food but because of the kind-hearted people that accept the students here in our everyday lives.
