Baguio English Schools Association also known as BESA held the first ever International Familiarization Tour or Fam Tour from November 13 to 15. The said fam tour is an annual event held to provide new updates about the school in both the academics and facilities. The annual Fam Tour is divided into nationality where all agencies with the same nationalities would come together and participate in the said event. But this year was different as this is the very first of BESA.
During the said events, a strict schedule was followed to make sure that the flow of the fam tour would go smoothly. On the first day of the fam tour, all participating agencies and schools came together at the New Town Plaza Hotel for the presentation of different English schools followed by an exhibition. During the presentation, Mr. Venn from A&J started the presentation followed by the other BESA school members. During his presentation, he highlighted the strengths of the academy and what A&J e-Edu Academy can offer. After the presentations are all given, immediately the exhibition followed. During the exhibition, all academies were given booths where all managers can answer the questions of agencies. After the exhibition, agencies were given free time to have dinner and roam around.
The second and the third day of the event were the school tour. Agencies were divided into two groups wherein said groups need to follow a certain timeline when visiting and touring around the school. A&J e-Edu academy was scheduled on the third day. The school tour started at 11:00 AM where Vietnamese and Taiwanese agencies went first followed by Korean, Japanese, and Chinese at 4:00 PM. During the school tour, agencies were able to see the changes in the academy and got to learn more details about the school. After the school tour, a dinner party was thrown to celebrate the success of the fam tour. During this time, agencies and schools had the chance to talk more both work and nonwork-related matters. Certificate of Participation and vouchers were also presented to all participating agencies.
The Fam Tour’s purpose is not just to tour around the school but to understand and have a feeling of the school and its environment. And this year’s first ever International Fam Tour is a success.
